SYNOPSIS
On March 6, 1939, several planes with the last Government of the Spanish Republic and the main leaders of the Spanish Communist Party took off from the Fondó de Monòver aerodrome.
It was the last place in Spain conquered by the government of the Spanish Republic.
70 years later, our cameras return to the area to learn about the history of those who last saw their country, peeking over the horizon and staring at the Sierra Aitana, as the poet Rafael Alberti would say.
It is, then, the story of those memories of war, of how they have reached us and how the children of the protagonists lived them.
In co-production with Televisión Española.
