SYNOPSIS

After more than 75 years, Vicente Montejano tells in first person his experience of more than 14 years in the Russian Gulag after the end of the Spanish Civil War. Vicente is the last survivor of a group of 12 young republican pilots who were surprised by the end of the war while taking a war aviation course in Kirovabav, in the former USSR.

Vicente's story takes place from his arrival in Russia, through the end of the Civil War and his transfer to the concentration camps in Siberia during World War II until his repatriation to Spain in the mid-50s during Franco's repression. Through his story, we learn another piece of our recent history and the ravages of a war that marked the destiny of a country for 40 years. Thanks to Vicente Montejano, we witness the story of "The Last Aviator".
